Social Media Sites

 

Throughout this semester, my professors have emphasized the importance of the social media movement taking place in the public relations profession.

My class, Style and Design in PR Messages, required me to become active online, as well as utilize various social media sites.

Some of the sites I utilized were: The Loveliest Village, The Corner News and PRblogs.org. On these sites, I either wrote blogs, posted videos or both.

The Loveliest Village is one social media outlets I worked with for class. Its initial purpose was to showcase the writings and recording abilities of Auburn University public relations students. This site features video stories that highlight Auburn University and the surrounding community.

The Corner News is a local news site and paper I utilized in order to practice my writing ability. My very first publication was featured in this paper and can be seen under my "Publications & Features" link.

Lastly, PRblogs.org is another site I utilized. It is a free blog site that allows both students and practitioners to express their ideals regarding the public relations profession.
